Di rosa is a catalyst for transformative experiences with contemporary art of northern california

Results: Now entering our second decade as an independent non-profit museum, di Rosa is responsible for managing more than 200 acres of open space, caring for nearly 2,000 works of art, and hosting rotating exhibitions. We are building a reputation for our growing roster of educational and public programs and as a vitally important resource for schools and colleges.

Target demographics: Art and nature lovers of all ages.

Programs: Maintain a collection and exhibit contemporary art of northern california. As the largest collection of northern california art in the country, the internationally recognized collection features nearly 2000 works from the 1960s to the present. The collection is displayed both on the grounds and in modern and historic structures on the property. Changing exhibitions of contemporary northern california art showcase emerging to established artists in the gatehouse gallery.

provide a variety of tours, lectures, performances and special programs for the public, both on the 217-acre grounds and offsite in partnership with other organizations. In 2014, over 15,800 people visited di rosa. 13,700 guests participated in guided tours led by trained volunteer guides and visited the gatehouse gallery for new and changing exhibitions. Over 2,100 guests attended public programs (including artist lectures, panel discussions, exhibition receptions, artist performances, film showings, and curator-led tours of exhibitions), the annual members' picnic and other di rosa community events.

provide educational programs for youth, families, and schools, serving as a vital community resource for northern california. In 2014, school tours brought almost 1,200 students from 33 participating schools to di rosa for specially designed learning experiences. Di rosa also offered artist lectures for educators and trainings for teachers in visual thinking strategies.
