About

Panah is a charitable non-profit foundation with active 501c (3) status. This charity was formed in 2010 to help poor and homeless families. Since 2010 panah charity has been helping the war-torn country of afghanistan. Panah charity's new mission in afghanistan is to build shelters for homeless families and move them from makeshift tents to comfortable rooms with facilities. Panah charity completed the first shelter program in 2016. Panah charity also creates the self-sufficiency opportunity for poor families, builds water wells in poor and very dry villages in afghanistan, and delivers basic food supplies and heating supplies to the families of young children in order for them to survive. Panah charity is also supporting homeless and poor orphans with clothing and school supplies. Panah charity also helps the poor families with their medical bills, cost of surgery, and hospitalization. Panah charity is expanding it's mission and helping more and more families every year.

Programs: Panah charity provided heating supplies to displaced and homeless families during the freezing winter season of 2016 in afghanistan. These families were living below the poverty level in afghanistan and in each household there are at least 7-8 family members including young children. Winter is a deadly season for poor young children in afghanistan. In winter 2016 panah charity was able to deliver heating supplies to over 1200 poor families, 500 blankets to widows, and warm clothing to 900 homeless children living in tents.

panah charity provided basic food supplies to 1137 poor and homeless families in afghanistan in 2016. These are families with young children living below the poverty level. Panah charity provided flour, rice, cooking oil, tea, sugar, onion, potato, and salt. This humanitarian aid fed 7,960 individuals for a month for a total cost of $70,114. Also, panah charity in eid celebration provided sheep meat to thousands of poor people who can't afford to eat meat on a regular basis. The total cost of serving meat to families and children was $18,677.

in 2015 panah charity built 12 water wells in many different villages and locations where poor and homeless families are living. In those locations children had to walk miles to bring drinking water from other water wells and this was very difficult particularly during the summer and winter seasons. By building these water wells panah charity helped needy families and also saved children from transportation of water in buckets from miles away.
